Whether or not we feel it's appropriate to marry a 14 year old, the law of the time didn't forbid it so there really isn't anything to reconcile other than the fact that she's a plural wife and anyone who reads the Old Testament would have heard of that concept long before Joseph Smith.
First of all, Joseph never committed adultery. Second of all he was sealed to some women for "eternity" but not for "time". That means a connection in the here-after, but not in the here and now. Today we can be connected for time and eternity, or just time. Also, people who are already married together often get sealed to each other later. In some countries who don't have legal divorce, a person can still be sealed to someone who is not their legal spouse, if they make a covenant of fidelity and have been separated from their legal spouse for an extended period. Joseph never married anyone without their consent, and in the case of young women, he also needed the consent of their parents. Some of the young ladies were actually adamant about not being his wife but later had a dream, or vision or some other spiritual experience that changed their mind. Joseph Smith, far from being lecherous, was loved and respected by those who knew him.
Well no one knows if he really had other wives since there is no historical evidence to prove he did. That is why secular scholars never suggest he practiced polygamy. It is only some Mormon writers and anti Mormon writers who say Joseph Smith practiced polygamy.
If he really did marry a 14 year old, it wouldnt be a big deal since marriages of that age were pretty common, including my Unitarian great great great grandmother who was 15 when she got married to my 37 year old great great great grandfather.

The LDS church believes that in order to make it to the highest part of Heaven, one must be married and cealed in the temple. Since there were a lot more women than men in the LDS church during Joseph Smith's time, he needed to help those young women who believed in the church. I am working on a paper and as a follow-up to my previous question where it was almost unanimous that white people are the most hated people on the planet, I want to ask what, if anything, white people can do to redeem themselves so they are not as hated.
Interesting. Did you know that 98% of all human advances have been created by Europeans? Did you know that Whites did not start slavery, but they were the only race of people to actively try and end it, not only in their own countries, but in others? Did you know that even during the height of slavery in America, that only 2% of Whites owned slaves? Did you know, that free black people in America owned slaves? Did you know, that Whites were the first race of people to ever write in their constitution that another race was to be treated equal to them?

I disagree. Non-whites hate whites to a certain extent which is caused by oppression and world domination; yet the real reason is not because of the irrational actions they caused during the past tmost hated racewo centuries, but because of how aesthetically pleasing they are.
I sincerely doubt whites have to do anything for redemption because at the rapid rate of inter-racial mixing, they are going to be bred out soon.
Not that i rejoice that, in fact i do feel it's a shame that the most aesthestically appealing people will disappear soon due to race-mixing. Unless whites start to take pride again in their own kind, they will collapse under the hordes of non-whites who want their genes. (8% whites vs. 92% non-whites)
There seems to be a lot of hatred directed towards all races from some members of the human race. I would like to see a source before I concur that whites are the most hated race. Also in order to "redeem" there must have been wrongs committed. The implication of your question is that ALL white people are guilty of some offense. Which is utter malarkey.
But for those people who are guilty of some offense, the best thing they can do to redeem themselves is to change their behavior. Hatred perpetuates itself, but so does love and kindness.

diagnosing diabetesDiagnosing Diabetes?
If I have gotten my blood drawn and examined before at the doctor's office, would they be able to tell if I had diabetes? They weren't testing my blood for diabetes, but would they have noticed it anyways? The only reason I ask is because I have to urinate a lot, I am tired often and sometimes get cranky for no apparent reason, my uncle had diabetes, and I have a larger appetite than I used to but still don't gain any weight and actually have been losing some without exercising that much. I feel like I should go to the doctor's office to check for diabetes but I feel stupid or feel like a hypochondriac for even suggesting the idea to my parents or doctor, what should I do? Thanks!
When a CBC is done in a routine physical your glucose level is checked but it is without fasting. So some doctor do not pay too much attention to it unless it is very low or very high. You should see your doctor in reference to this so the proper tests can be done. Your doctor should then suggest a glucose tolerance test. This will involve your fasting for twelve hours then being tested every hour for either 3 or 5 hours. You will be given a drink, high in glucose (sugar) to drink within each hour. Before he/she does this test they may suggest you fast for 12 hours and take one blood test with out the drink. depends on the doctor.
Go to your doctor and ask to be checked. It is not unreasonable.
when they take your blood they do a Complete Blood Count (CBC) every visit. That checks your glucose (sugar) levels. if they were getting elevated or decreased the doctor will order one when you fast for 12 hours beforehand. if your glucose is still high then you probably have diabetes. but if you still feel you have a probably ALWAYS ask your doctor. people die just because they are afraid of what the doctor might think. i work in a office. trust me there diagnosing diabetesare ALOT worse people.
You will NOT seem like hypochondriac! :) It's always better to ask and have it be nothing than have it be something and not ask!!!
Your doctor will want to know your symptoms and that there is a history if it in your family. My grandmother has it and I was just diagnosed a year ago. (I was having an alternative problem that they discovered was a symptom of diabetes).
They "should" be testing for it, but if you're concerned, by all means ask! They will run a specific test for it and let you know what they find. If it's not, they'll want to know why you ARE having those symptoms. If you do have it, they'll want to get you treated asap... or you may be "pre-diabetic" and you'll want to start monitoring your diet so you don't become diabetic!

When you go for the appointment at the doctor's office, don't eat anything after midnight the night before, this way you'll be fasting and they can get a really good look for diabetes on the blood they draw from you.

oddball interview questionsWould it be ok to ask this question during a job interview?
How long would i get for a lunch break?
I know that is kinda a oddball question but i have a very good reason for asking it. The company i am at now-i didnt know it until my first day but they only give you 15 minutes for lunch. They give you two 12 minute breaks and one 15 minute lunch break. This is totally unfair if you ask me. The whole place is unfair. 30 minutes would be enough for me, but 15 is not long enough to do anything. We have to walk way off in one direction to get to the restroom, climb two flights of steps to get to the restroom, then the breakroom is totally at the other side of the building. And you have to eat in the breakroom. No food on the floor. By the time you get to the restroom and then get to the breakroom afterwards lunch is almost over. You really have to decide ok do i want to use the restroom or get something to eat?
They have a bunch of unfair rules, if i find a different job i dont want to get stuck in another situation like this. How do i make certain a new job is the right place for me and not a horrible death camp type place?

I am getting into very wired situation . I try to print web page, but could not print the normal webpage, it's like this: one line print into one page, sometimes all the blank pages, I tried to print an email page, then it turned out to print over 60 pages, each page with only one line of title or one line of sentences, or half picture, etc. I tied to print msn home page, and use prinmsn home page previewt preview, I saw the pages goes to several hundreds and still not stop yet. Is this virus or something wrong with computer or printer settings? I can print nomally with non-online files such as Word, PDF. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Onmsn home page preview the computer go to Control Panel, Printers and faxes, select your printer from the list, delete documents to be printed (if any).

anxiety quizBombed a quiz becuase of anxiety and stress. Need help!?
Today we had a pop quiz in one of my least best subjects. When I heard the words quiz come out of my teachers mouth I instantly started to freak out. The quiz was short but when I got it, I blanked and forgot EVERYTHING that was on it except for like one thing. It wasliterallyy only a couple questions but I only did one question. The weird thing is, is that I did the homework the night before and did really well on it when he took it up. The anxiety and stress got to my head and made me blank. I was panicking so much, whenever we have any type of quiz or test I freak out even if I know about it (I have anxiety but I also have test anxiety).
Do anyone have any tips on how I can calm myself during a situation like this? The quiz doesn't count for anything but if it were on a test I would be screwed, it's happened before.

But, things were terrible.
Finally, for the last couple of tests, my best-friend made me a little slip of paper that said Fully Rely on God. Granted, I didn't, but it helped me realise that I perhaps didn't need to be so upset with myself. I realised that I was one little person who sucked at taking maths tests and needed to just chill. So, I kept that little paper on my desk during that test, and every time that I felt nervous or that I was going to completely forget everything that I had studied for, I would check that piece of paper, stop thinking, breathe, and then continue onanxiety quiz. I ended up getting a high grade on that last test, too.
Also, inform your teachers of this. One of my good friends always did great on homework but would fail every test she took. She always was so hard on herself about it, and ended up telling a teacher in passing. The teacher replied, "You're still a smart kid; you just suck with tests." It helped my friend understand that she did indeed suck with taking tests and to not worry about it quite so much or be so hard on herself.
The thing is, remember that you still have strengths, study your AV儿劣 off, and know that perfection will not be reached but that you can still try your hardest and get places. This is the story. I purchased a car from a used car dealer. I put my 2100 down and 420 a month. been paying on time for about 3 months. My insurance is about 400 a month because I'm young. Ok, to the point. I found this guy that is a power of attorney at this legal firm. I told him my situation. I only make 1300 a month and I'm struggling making payments and car insurance, my auto dealership wont work with me at all. He said that he can settle the debt. He wrote a check for 14k paying off the entire car. about 3-4 weeks later. I get a call from the repo people saying that they are coming to get my car or If i dont give it up Im going to jail that night for check fraud. First off I got a bill in the mail saying that the car is paid in full and the account is satisfied. I have NOT yet recieved another bill in the mail saying that the check was returned and that I have a NSF fee. Isnt there something in the law about Bill of Exchange? They have had repo men call all my family and even my job and my roommate. I only got 1 notice in the mail stating demand of car. It said that they will file a warrant for my arrest if i dont return the car to them by 1/10/12. My power of attorney went to court today to file a cease and desist order against thpower of attorneyem. The car and registration is in my name but they have a lien on my title and security interest. He said they shouldn't be bothering me again. The lady keep calling back from the repo collections place saying that they gonna have me locked up if I don't give them the car today. I don't have the car. I let my power of attorney hold it till he gets all this straightened out. He sent out a cease and desist order certified and sealed by court. And he is filing a lawsuit as we speak. He said they cant come after me or bother me until they get a court order, Why are they coming after me? Will I go to jail forreal or are they using scare tactics? They come to get my car but dont have a court order. They just showing me some papers with a bounced check that my power of attorney wrote. I would say... i did the best i could under the circumstances i had and at just the right time. My life isnt dull, or boring, or un-satisfying. I just dont think i would want to repeat it. However... if I were to go through my life over again... would i know what would be coming next while living? If no... then yea sure... why not... i got time on my hands.

I also vote for Matt but I have mixed feelings about it and for me Ragan runs a close second. Matt never rose to the promise of his genius game, but I give him props for (1) making things as interesting as possible in a boring season, and (2) reminding us that BB is a game and not personal!! He is likable to the point that most people in the forums I've read forgave him for his horrible lie. I think he's a good guy. Ragan was the opposite of Matt--emotional, but he did reign it in when he needed to and he was definitely on his own in that game. So Matt or Ragan.

I would like to find some activity pages maybe I could print off from the internet. Something to boost conversation in a fun way in my relationship. Any Help??
Unless your husband is a REALLY good sport, I would advise against this. Most men hate this stuff. The magazines (Cosmo, Glamour, etc. etc.) always tout this as a great idea, but I've never met a man who looked at activities like these as anything but a potential relationship land mine.
I would suggest playing board games together, going for walks, trying a new hobby before doing the activity pages.
My husband and I often talk about current events. Last night, we were watching Bobby Jindal speech on Youtube and cracking up. Congressman Gary Ackerman's rants are also hilarious.

We have this one friend in particular; we love him to death, but he is not exactly a very "together" guy - so we can often poke fun between ourselves at the latest antics. My husband's workmates sometimes provide good fodder for conversation, too.
There are a lot of things my husband doesn't care about - like he can care less about YA, so I don't bore him with tales of what I do here. Also, he doesn't want to take personality tests or anything of this nature. And I usually get really bored when he starts talking about some techie stuff or airplanes or what this or that person said on the RV forum. I assume in many cases in is a question of $ - but aren't there emergency rooms and free clinics?
Hon I think most people ask others questions about health issues not only because they may not have insurance or money to see a Dr, but also I think they are looking for someone to commiserate with or for some who had the same thing and it all turned out alright for the other person so they are hoping it will for them too. After all it is a big world we all get lonely and want someone to tell us that everything is gonna be Ok. And I think some of us just want to have a connection to another person even if it is on the internet!
It's about money, but it's also about how doctors work these days, it used to be, a doctor would seriously diagnose yoask medical problemsu, you could say nothing,and they'd still look for the problem.
These days, doctors tend to want you to hint them in the right direction(sometimes to a borderline lazy level), so it's essential to have done some research if you're gonna see your doctor, and to have some knowledge on what you think is wrong, because if you're not involved enough in the process, today's GP's won't be that helpful, or effective.
Yea but people don't want to go to a doctor unless they no it's serious.... Like if you're arm went numb (it could just be tempary) so u go on yahoo and ask what's wrong with my arm??? In life, there are so many question that are asked, answer, then known through each other every day. If there's a question which answers all of the questions made by everyone, maybe this would become mankind's most difficult questions of all time. Just guessing...

Not meaning to be all religious on you but I think the big question is which belief system is correct. This doesn't answer all of the big science questions but I think that it impacts most of the worlds population. If the athiests are correct then morals are just nice rules for learning about how to get along and have no everlasting consequence, so do whatever it takes to get ahead in this life because there is no life after to worry about. If the Muslims are correct then we are stupid for fighting against them. If some Christians are correct and there is a God who will judge us and assign our eternal station based upon what we have done in this life then I think we would start to look at our actions a little closer.
