ask medical problemsWhy do people ask such serious medical problems here instead of seeing a doctor?

I assume in many cases in is a question of $ - but aren't there emergency rooms and free clinics?
Hon I think most people ask others questions about health issues not only because they may not have insurance or money to see a Dr, but also I think they are looking for someone to commiserate with or for some who had the same thing and it all turned out alright for the other person so they are hoping it will for them too. After all it is a big world we all get lonely and want someone to tell us that everything is gonna be Ok. And I think some of us just want to have a connection to another person even if it is on the internet!
It's about money, but it's also about how doctors work these days, it used to be, a doctor would seriously diagnose yoask medical problemsu, you could say nothing,and they'd still look for the problem.

These days, doctors tend to want you to hint them in the right direction(sometimes to a borderline lazy level), so it's essential to have done some research if you're gonna see your doctor, and to have some knowledge on what you think is wrong, because if you're not involved enough in the process, today's GP's won't be that helpful, or effective.
Yea but people don't want to go to a doctor unless they no it's serious.... Like if you're arm went numb (it could just be tempary) so u go on yahoo and ask what's wrong with my arm??? And people could relate. But going to a doctor costs money and time. And who likes a doctors office?? Hope I helped
It is simply because they need expeask medical problemsrt opinions and everyone knows that the internet is always right, along with all of the people on it ( especially for serious medical conditions =]).
Emergency rooms cost more than a regular office visit. Free clinics?? lol.. sorry to laugh.. but most places do not have that kind of thing. Pretty messed up, isn't it?
Stupidity. Heck, they can even call and ask the hospital for free I think. And if not it can't be that expensive.
theyre scared to face the truth...or too lazy. no one likes going to the doctor if theres nothing actually wrong with them
