Hi everyone, I'm trying to install a hp psc 2110 all-in-one printer/scanner/fax on my friend's Mac desktop running OS X9. When I attempt to install the driver I downloaded from HP's website an error message comes up saying "The application "7.3.1_2100_WEN" could not be opened because "CarbonLib" could not be found. This error message comes up as soon as I attempt to open the driver install file. Could someone point me to the right update to install?
P.S. I tried to update to OS9.1 but also had an issue :( so if I don't have to update to 9.1 that would be great as well. I am not a Mac Expert but I figured hopefully somhp printer driver downloads maceone here is!
Thanks in advance!
mac osx or os9
there are two different drivers one for each operating system.
select the driver for your operating system from the selection.
remember osx and os9 are different driver versions according to the website. the link imediately below. wen sounds like it wants windows english version. not mac. so check you downloaded the correct driver.
so the download you got is not for your version.
oh and also there seem to be different models of that all in one you have so the drivers on this link still may not be compatible you need to double check that there is no additional letter after hp printer driver downloads macthe 2110 such as a v or xi.
if in doubt see this link and click your model number. from the options that come up.
i'm not a mac expert but even i know that osx =os ten the sequal to os9. so if you are using os9 then you use the os9 driver. if osx then you use the osx driver.
i'm normaly dealing with my windows 98, me xp and vista systems. but regardless of operating system you have to download the correct drivers for your operating system. rare for one driver to fit more than one operating system.
Huh it's OSX or OS9? totally differen't operating systems.
